Adirondack wide grain Spruce top, Adirondack braces, no tongue brace, Herringbone top binding, Ivoroid body binding, beautiful grain Honduran Mahogany back & sides, diamond & square fingerboard inlay, 1 ¾’’ nut width, thru saddle and outstanding sunburst finish top. Awesome in every category with HUGE sound and looks. Deep resonant low end, “punchy” and smooth midrange and clear ringing high end, just what you expect in a Collings D1A and is very light in weight. Hooper H-28 Madagascar RosewoodNew - Adirondack Spruce top, Adirondack pre-war style forward shifted scalloped braces, quarter sawn Madagascar Rosewood back & sides, small pre-war size hard rock Maple bridge plate, hide glue top, back braces and bridge plate, pre-war ribbon style side re-enforcements along with (4) Rosewood strips at the x-brace intersection with the sides, Dovetail Honduran Mahogany neck with adjustable truss rod, peghead volute, nitrocellulose lacquer finish, 1 23/32’’ nut width, Ebony fretboard & bridge, Waverly “Butterbean” tuners, Walrus Ivory nut and thru saddle, vintage style pickguard, “antiqued” bone end pin & strap button, and solid Ebony bridge pins with Abalone inserts.
