Gibson Late 1949 Southern Jumbo Spruce top, solid Mahogany back & sides, old style block logo with connecting "I," replacement reverse belly Brazilian Rosewood bridge, Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard with "Pearloid" slant inlays, tapered headstock, multi bound body, sunburst finish and 1 3/4'' nut width. It appears to have been refinished by Gibson in late 50's early 60's when a replacement pickguard was applied by tiny screws. A big booming sound with that trademark Gibson projection and tone is obvious. There is a couple of top cracks that have been repaired below the pickguard that are not thru, center seam that has been glued as well as one upper bass bout and one small crack under the high "e" string. All repairs are solid and strong. Plays great and all registers are true and clear. Many artists used this model including Hank Williams, for its powerful sound. Yes it has that "booming" dry traditional old sound. Priced with a deluxe brown lush Gibson logo hard case.

Martin 1978 D-35 Indian Rosewood Very good condition - This example is a little surprising to us as most of these models tend to be a little bass heavy as well as muddy in the midrange but this one has excellent balance and is strong in clarity as well as power. Still has that great tone along with great delivery. Sitka Spruce top, 3 piece Indian Rosewood Back & sides, Ebony fingerboard & bridge, 1 11/16'' nut width, bound fingerboard. A few typical light scratches and dings on top and back but overall pretty clean for a 37 year old instrument. Comes with original black molded hard case.
